In This Episode
Tommy talks with New York Times columnist Nick Kristof and Nexus Fund Executive Director Sally Smith about the ongoing ethnic cleansing happening right now in Burma.
If you want to pressure Congress to take action to stop the ethnic cleansing in Burma, here’s how to do it.
– Call the Congressional Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask to be connected to your representative’s office. When you reach the office, ask for the foreign policy staffer.
– If you’re calling a member of Congress, ask them to sign a bipartisan Dear Colleague letter on the Rohingya crisis in Burma that’s being circulated by Reps. Joseph Crowley and Steve Chabot.
– If you’re calling a Senator, ask them to support efforts by Senators McCain and Durbin to pressure Burma’s military and stop the slaughter.
